This Keller home received a full genuine white oak hardwood floor replacement, transforming dated red-toned flooring into a timeless, hand-scraped finish designed to age beautifully with a busy household (and a large, energetic dog).
Project Overview
The homeowners wanted to replace their existing engineered flooring, which had become overly red in tone and was showing heavy wear from daily use and dog traffic. Their goal was a natural, durable hardwood floor that would feel warm, timeless, and appropriate for the scale of the home.

Our Approach
We began by delivering the white oak flooring early so it could properly acclimate to the home’s environment. Once acclimated, we removed the existing flooring and prepared the subfloor with a vapor barrier to protect the new hardwood.
Each board was carefully randomized during installation to avoid pattern repetition and create a natural, balanced look. After installation, gaps were filled, the surface was lightly sanded, and the floor was hand-scraped to add subtle texture and character.

Finished Result
The finished floor delivers a classic, durable foundation for the home and will continue to develop character over time. The combination of genuine hardwood, thoughtful installation, and a carefully chosen stain resulted in a finish that feels intentional, warm, and built to las
